Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how UniGuard Pro collects, uses, stores, protects, and discloses personal information. By using UniGuard Pro’s website, applications, cloud platform, or any related services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. UniGuard Pro complies with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
UniGuard Pro collects information needed to deliver and improve the service. This includes account details such as your name, email address, phone number, login credentials, and billing information. We also collect device and system information including camera identifiers, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device type, operating system, browser details, and network data.
We process video, audio, and event information when you connect cameras or monitoring devices. This may include video streams, recordings, audio (if enabled and legally permitted), motion events, AI analytics metadata, and alert logs. We also collect usage information such as login times, user actions, system logs, and performance data. If you connect third-party integrations, UniGuard Pro may collect the data necessary to enable those features.
We use your information to operate and maintain UniGuard Pro, authenticate your account, send notifications, store and process video and event data, improve system performance, provide support, process payments, ensure security, and monitor system health. We do not use video or audio data for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
We process personal information based on your consent, the necessity of delivering the service you subscribe to, legitimate interests such as maintaining security and improving performance, and compliance with applicable laws. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limitations.
UniGuard Pro does not sell personal information. In some cases, we may share information with trusted service providers that support cloud hosting, data storage, analytics, AI processing, payment services, and customer support. These providers only receive the minimum amount of information required to perform their role and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also share information when required by law, court orders, or law enforcement requests. If you authorize external integrations, you permit UniGuard Pro to share the necessary data with those platforms.
Data may be stored in Canada, the United States, or other regions used by our cloud providers. All information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Video and event data is stored according to your storage plan or device settings. Account information is retained as long as your account remains active, and logs may be retained for auditing, diagnostics, and security. You may request deletion of recordings or your account, subject to legal retention requirements.
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted communications, encrypted data storage, access controls, audit logs, and optional multi-factor authentication. While we make every effort to protect your information, no online system is completely immune to security risks, and users acknowledge these inherent limitations.
Users are responsible for ensuring cameras are installed legally, obtaining consent where required, securing login credentials, managing account permissions, and complying with recording, privacy, employment, and tenant laws. UniGuard Pro does not provide legal advice regarding surveillance laws in your region.
You may request access to your personal information, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and stored information. You may also contact us to learn how your information is used. All privacy-related requests can be directed to our Privacy Officer.
UniGuard Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16 years of age. If such information is discovered, it will be removed promptly.
If you are accessing UniGuard Pro from outside Canada, your data may be processed in regions with different privacy laws. By using the service, you consent to these transfers.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of UniGuard Pro after policy changes means you accept the updated version.
